The University of Georgia won six awards in the 2024 Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s Circle of Excellence Awards competition, recognizing the best education and nonprofit marketing and communications programs across the world.
Among more than 4,200 entries from 600 institutions in 28 countries, UGA was recognized with gold, silver and bronze awards for a variety of projects.
“These awards are a testament to the strength of our entire Marketing and Communications team,” said Kathy R. Pharr, vice president for marketing and communications and chief of staff to the president. “We are fortunate to have some of the best in the business working here at UGA. Our team members strive every day to advance the mission and national reputation of the University of Georgia, and I am proud to see their high-quality work consistently recognized for excellence.”

Photographers from the Division of Marketing and Communications won several top awards from the University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA) at its recent symposium in Salt Lake City, Utah. UPAA is an international organization of college and university photographers concerned with the application and practice of photography as it relates to the higher education setting.
The team took home first place for photo essays, second place for online photo essays for a narrative series and third place for printed advertisements.
