Walmart shares (WMT) are bumping in pre-market trading after topping fiscal first-quarter 2025 earnings estimates, noting US e-commerce sales leaped higher by 22% year-over-year.
Lastly, European Union (EU) regulators are probing Meta Platforms’ (META) social media sites — Facebook and Instagram — on child safety law concerns.

I keep stock futures are flat but poised to open at record highs this morning.
Major averages reached all time highs on Wednesday with the S and P 500 closing above 5300 for the first time after CP I data came in softer than the month of April.
But now that we have inflation pressures easing last month, the progress isn’t likely enough to push the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates just yet.
According to the bond market plus inflation where consumers are stocking up over at Wal Mart.
Largest us retailer reported stronger than expected first quarter revenue and same store sales results driven by a big jump in e commerce sales and more visits to its giant hulking Super center.
Wal Mart also raised its full year sales and profit forecast as consumers look for value in deals inside of a still uncertain us economy and meta under regulatory scrutiny.
Again this morning, the European Union opened a formal investigation to probe if meta violated you child safety laws.
The European Commission said Facebook and Instagram quote may stimulate behavioral addictions in Children as well as create so called rabbit hole effects.
The commission also looking at the platform verification system.
