AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Special Olympics Texas and Courtside will host the West Texas 2024 Regional Basketball Competition this Saturday.
Event organizers are inviting the community to support athletes as they showcase their skills and determination.
The competition will begin Saturday at 8 a.m. at Courtside, 14365 Indian Hill Rd.
Organizers say an award ceremony will follow at 2 p.m.
Courtside also collected tennis shoes and gift card donations for shoes earlier this month for athletes to have their own pair.
“We’re honored to support Special Olympics Texas and provide shoes for these amazing young athletes,” said Ben Heller, Courtside LLC owner. “It’s our mission to ensure they have everything they need to compete comfortably and confidently.”
