LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – A speedcubing competition is coming to Lawton, competitor, Sam Threlkeld, and his father, Sam Threlkeld, joined Haley Wilson to discuss the competition.
Dan said he was first introduced to speedcubing when his oldest son became interested in the hobby.
Sam said when his brother taught him how to cube, he quickly realized he was good at it, and he started going to competitions around December 2022.
Sam also solved a few Rubik’s Cubes on air for us.
He even solved a pyramid shaped puzzle.
The Oklahoma Championship Rubik’s Cube Speedcubing Competition is set to happen from Saturday, June 29 until Sunday, June 30, at the Life Ready Center in Lawton.
