Nothing unveiled its latest true wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear and Ear (a), at its Japan community event today. The new earbuds are upgrades to last year’s popular Ear (2) and feature refined designs and improved specifications.
The flagship Nothing Ear improves on the original with redesigned 11mm drivers that claim to improve vibration amplitude by 110% for better bass. It features a new ceramic diaphragm for richer sound quality. Battery life sees a 25% boost at up to 8.5 hours with ANC off and 40.5 hours including the case.
The higher-end model gets LDAC and LHDC codecs support for high-quality audio, advanced noise cancellation, and wireless charging. Priced at ₹ 11,999, it launches on April 29 in black and white.
The more affordable Ear (a) retains key specs like ANC and LDAC but trades the ceramic diaphragm for a TPU and PMI composite. It claims a battery life of up to 9.5 hours and comes in a new yellow colour option. Priced at ₹ 7,999, it goes on sale from April 22.
Both models integrate ChatGPT, allowing users to summon the AI assistant with a gesture. The feature will roll out to existing Nothing earbuds via updates.
