Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo may be teaming up for a new drama!
On June 25, SPOTV News reported that Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo will star in the upcoming drama “Donggung” (literal title).
In response to the report, Nam Joo Hyuk’s agency Management SOOP commented, “Nam Joo Hyuk is reviewing the offer to appear in the new drama ‘Donggung.’ Nothing has been confirmed yet.” Similarly, Roh Yoon Seo’s agency MAA also stated, “While Roh Yoon Seo is indeed in discussions to star in ‘Donggung,’ nothing has been finalized.”
“Donggung” unfolds within the depths of a mysterious palace overrun by ghosts. To solve this issue, a ghost slayer and a court lady secretly infiltrate the palace.
Nam Joo Hyuk has reportedly been offered the role of Goo Cheon, an arrogant ghost slayer who possesses the unique ability to become a ghost himself and kill other ghosts with a sword.
Roh Yoon Seo is in talks to play Saeng Gang, a proud and bold court lady as knowledgeable as a scholar. She has a mysterious ability to communicate with ghosts and harbors a special secret.
Nam Joo Hyuk enlisted in the Military Police Force in March 2023 and is expected to be discharged on September 19, 2024. If confirmed, “Donggung” will be his first project following his return from military service.
