CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — A federal lawsuit against Sean Combs, who is better known as “Diddy” or “P Diddy,” claims that a former Fairmont State University basketball player distributed drugs and guns and helped cover up sex trafficking on Combs’ behalf.
The 73-page lawsuit, which was acquired by 12 News’ Nexstar affiliate in Cleveland, WJW Fox 8, alleges that Brendan Paul, 25, works for Combs as a “Mule” and acquires and distributes drugs and guns.
Although originally from Ohio, Paul was a basketball player for Fairmont State University in West Virginia during the 2021-22 season. He saw game time in all 23 games during that season, according to the Fairmont Athletics website. He also previously played at Syracuse.
The lawsuit also names Paul as a co-conspirator in a sex-trafficking venture. He was responsible for ensuring cash payments to sex workers and “benefitted financially” from the venture, the lawsuit alleges.
The lawsuit says that the defendants and their direct reports, which includes Paul, “had actual knowledge that they were aiding, abetting, and inducing Combs’ and his co-conspirators’ sexual abuse and sex trafficking conspiracy to recruit, solicit, entice, coerce, harbor, transport, obtain, and provide Mr. Jones (the plaintiff) as well as others, into commercial sex acts, through the means of force, threats of force, fraud, abuse of process, and coercion.”
It also claims that Combs, Paul and the other defendant and direct reports “engaged in the same activities as Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell. In fact, Mr. Combs, Defendants J. Combs, Khorram and her direct reports: Brendan Paul, Frankie Santella, and Moy Baun may have done worse.”
Paul was arrested in Miami-Dade County, Florida on March 25—the same day that federal agents raided Combs’ Florida home. He was charged with felony possession of cocaine and felony possession of a controlled substance, but he has since been bonded out of jail.
