“So far, the season has been going great,” Brown told Postmedia. “It’s been very enjoyable meeting new vendors.”
Vendors participating in the market this year hail from Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, Lac Ste. Anne County, Edson, Valleyview, Edmonton and more, Brown said.
Brown said this year’s season launched in May and continues until Sept. 23. The Tuesday markets run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carbonex Contractors Centre (the curling rink on Sunset Boulevard).
Next week’s market will have a “Christmas in July” theme, she added.
Additionally, Brown said the market runs on a Saturday every month.
The next weekend market will be on Aug. 9 at the Whitecourt Legion, to coincide with the town’s Summer Street Fest event. The festival will run from noon to 5 p.m. in downtown Whitecourt.
Meanwhile in Mayerthorpe, the Midsummer Market is planned for the Mayerthorpe Legion from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 26 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 27.
