Insured Nomads, a global insurance provider specialising in solutions for remote professionals, and Doerscircle have joined forces to offer an innovative embedded health insurance program tailored for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and SMBs worldwide.
The partnership seeks to address the critical gap in access to healthcare benefits for independent workers, a group representing half of the global workforce, according to the World Bank.
As freelancing and independent work continue to rise, the program aims to provide flexible and affordable health insurance options for millions.
Insured Nomads specialises in global insurance solutions designed for digital nomads, gig workers, and remote professionals.
Its offerings include comprehensive coverage and member benefits such as telemedicine, cybersecurity, and travel services. Doerscircle, on the other hand, serves a growing community of over 135,000 members by providing tools and services for independent workers and SMBs, fostering greater flexibility and security.
The newly launched program includes features such as simplified onboarding, flexible global coverage starting at £60 per month (billed annually), and comprehensive health benefits, including outpatient care, dental, vision, and maternity coverage.
It also eliminates minimum company size requirements, making it accessible for contractors and dependents. Additional perks include unlimited telemedicine and therapy sessions, Priority Pass airport lounge access, and cybersecurity protection.
“This collaboration is a game-changer for independent workers,” said Andrew Jernigan, CEO of Insured Nomads. “For the first time, solopreneurs, gig workers, and startups can access the same quality of health coverage as large corporations, with plans starting from $74 per month and coverage that follows them anywhere in the world.”
The program builds on Doerscircle’s mission to equip independent workers with enterprise-level security. Helle Priess, founder and CEO of Doerscircle, noted, “Traditional insurance hasn’t kept pace with the way we work and live today. Through Insured Nomads, we’re making enterprise-level health coverage available to every Independent Doer.”
Launched on 1 December via the Doerscircle platform, the initiative provides a digital-first experience, streamlining the insurance process for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses globally.
This partnership is set to empower a growing sector of the workforce while addressing the gaps left by traditional employment structures.
