Australia-based Freelancer has appointed Catcha Group CEO and chairman Patrick Grove as a non-executive director, Sub11 reports. Freelancer is a freelancing website with a global user base.
Grove is a prominent tech entrepreneur with a track record of founding and growing successful digital businesses, taking six to IPO in Australia and Southeast Asia. These include iProperty Group and Frontier Digital Ventures.
Tech In Asia has described Grove as “the OG serial tech entrepreneur of Southeast Asia.”
“I am excited to join the board of Freelancer, a company that has revolutionised the way people work and has demonstrated remarkable growth and innovation globally in several industry segments,” commented Grove.
“The announcement highlights Grove’s awards and recognition, including World Economic Forum honors, and his passion for scaling tech ventures,” Freelancer said.
