Doors Open and creative content agency Mutual Friends are hosting a workshop series for aspiring freelance content creators.
Doors Open: Unlocked Online is an online series that will run for four consecutive Tuesdays from July 9th. Geared towards those who are interested in becoming a freelance photographer, videographer or content creator, the series will be split into the following sections: “Getting started,” “Landing the job,” “Connections and clients” and “Delivery.”
The free workshops are for people aged 18 and above. Applicants from FLINTA, POC and LGBTQI+ communities, as well as with visible and non-visible disabilities and/or from lower-income households, will be prioritised. The application process opens on June 17th and closes on July 2nd. All applicants will find out if they’re successful by July 4th.
Launched in 2022, Mutual Friends is aiming to transform the way that freelance content is created and managed. Past clients include Universal Music Group, fabric and Sony Music. The agency’s founders Liam Smith and Lawrence Jones will be hosting the workshop.
Doors Open is RA‘s non-profit music industry jobs and opportunities platform. It was created in 2019 to connect the electronic music job seeking community with potential employers, and now exists as a community interest company working to improve access to the electronic music industry.
