MUNISING, Mich. (WLUC) – Twenty Yoopers went head-to-head in a singing competition Thursday.
It was the fourth annual U.P. Voice competition. Contestants sang for a packed audience at the Gallery Coffee Company in Munising. They competed for a chance to win up to $500 in cash and gift cards to Munising shops and to open for Macy Nicole Walker at her upcoming concert at The Extra in L’Anse.
Organizers say they have no plans to stop hosting the competition.
“These are all U.P. artists,” Gallery Coffee Company Co-Owner Ana Dolaskie said. “It’s really, truly amazing to see how much talent there is just within our own community. So, we’re not going to stop showcasing it.”
Stina Jackson from Marquette won the competition. You can stream the whole show here.
