OpenAI has introduced a slew of upgrades to its sensational chatbot, ChatGPT. The latest upgrades are a series of enhancements that are intended to redefine the user experience. Expanded language support, and the introduction of image input capabilities, all seem to show how the company is innovating with its chatbot.
Image input capabilities for Plus users is a key upgrade that allows users to upload images to ChatGPT for analysis. One can simply click a picture and ask the chatbot to describe the image. From identifying objects to planning meals, the new upgrades are a big leap in terms of user experience. Here is a look at some interesting use cases you can try with ChatGPT Plus.
Instantly describe scenes
Perhaps, the most useful feature of ChatGPT Plus is its image analysis using Dall-E. We clicked a picture of a water bottle with two backpacks behind it and asked ChatGPT to describe the objects. The chatbot identified the bottle, the brand label, and what the company does and it also explained which one of the backpacks was a better option. This could be a great way to examine images or could even be life-saving if someone gets lost in a foreign land – simply click the signboard in an unknown language and ask ChatGPT.
Choose your image style
ChatGPT Plus users have the advantage of amplifying their creativity with DALL-E. Now, with the latest updates, users can create images in a wide variety of styles. The chatbot now offers various styles for inspiration to create images. Right above the context window, users will be able to see five style options followed by a shuffle button. Expressionism, comic book, abstract, cyberpunk, and candy are some of the examples of style. Users can click on the shuffle icon to get more such options.
One of the best aspects of the style option is that users can see a preview of the style by simply hovering over the options. You can change the style of the output simply by clicking on it and selecting the preferred style in the image edit interface. Besides, there is also the option of changing the aspect ratio, which allows users to create images in Square, Widescreen, and Vertical.
Edit images in Dall-E
DALL-E integration lets you edit images in ChatGPT itself. Image editing is not an easy task, but with AI now anyone can create, edit, and refine their creations. We tested the chatbot and asked it to create an image of a cute panda on a motorbike. Subsequently, we asked it to replace the bike with a bicycle, and later used a prompt describing the panda’s fall. The model effortlessly made the edits in a matter of seconds. However, ChatGPT found it difficult to remove the goggles on the panda’s forehead despite multiple edit prompts. The chatbot was able to make a similar correction in a later image.
No sign-up needed
In one of its recent updates, OpenAI has allowed users to access ChatGPT without the need to create a user account. This will only show GPT-3.5 which is the free version and it is good enough if all you want to do is research, and want the chatbot to write and edit text for you. With this, OpenAI is expanding the access to AI for more users.
No more training from your data
OpenAI now lets users opt out of training mode. To do this, head to settings in ChatGPT and toggle off the Improve the model for everyone option. ChatGPT Plus users can do the same by opening data controls and switching off the chat history and training.
Making links more prominent
The latest update also makes links more prominent in search results. This feature gives more context to the result and makes it easier for users to discover content from various online resources. The browse feature is now available in ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise.
Read aloud responses
This feature was earlier available on Android and iOS, now OpenAI has brought it to the web version. This is ideal for anyone who wants to simply listen to the responses and not read. Users will now be able to see a read-aloud button below the response and before the copy option. Click on it to get ChatGPT to read the output.
More security layers
For its users, ChatGPT is offering an additional layer of security with multi-factor authentication features. Users need to toggle it on from the Settings as this will keep the account safe.
All the above features have been tested by indianexpress.com.
