Tickets on sale for World’s Strongest Man competition in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) —
The four-day event will showcase thirty of the world’s top strongmen competing for the crown.
The participants will be pushed to their physical and mental limits with a series of events, including the Car Walk, which is a fan-favorite event. Athletes will race two-by-two, strapping a vintage VW bug to their shoulders before racing down a 25-meter course.
New this year, is the Sandbag Steeplechase event. Competitors will carry large sandbags thrown over a bar before being collected and loaded onto a platform in the fastest time possible.
It will also feature a free fan festival that is open to the public. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, giveaways, a viewing area and a special sensory room.
The competition is being held at the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place from Wednesday, May 1 through Sunday, May 5. Wednesday and Thursday will be the qualifier rounds while Saturday and Sunday are the finals.
