YouTube Monetisation Policy: Video streaming platform YouTube is a popular medium for creators to share content with the vast audience on the platform. While it is a potential medium to showcase your talent, it can also serve as a source of income once you meet the necessary guidelines of the platform. To do this, you must have subscribed to the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).
Beyond the 18-year-age limit for most monetisation features, the threshold to enjoy monetisation via Watch Page Ads, Shorts Feed Ads, and YouTube Premium (and other features) is a minimum of 1,000 subscribers, 4,000 public watch hours on videos (long-form) in the past 365 days (or 10 million public Shorts views in the past 90 days).
