ALBION — For the ag sales career development event this year, Edwards County members prepared a presentation to sell skid steer products from Kubota.
Team members Parker Biggs, Aiden McDowell, Chase Shelton, Gabe Wyatt, and Trey Landingham prepared a sales presentation together, answered questions, completed a sales test, and closed an individual sale.
The team practiced hard for this event and received first place at the Section 23 event in October. Individual placings were Shelton, first; Biggs, fourth; and Wyatt sixth.
The team advanced to the district ag sales event at Rend Lake, where they placed first. Biggs was the first place individual; Shelton first place in Room 2; McDowell first place in Room 4; and Wyatt second place in Room 1.
This earned the team a chance to compete at state in Springfield, finishing in third place. McDowell was the top individual in the state, and Biggs and Shelton both finished in second place in their rooms.
