Side hustles have become increasingly popular in the modern career landscape. While people take on second jobs to earn additional income, side hustles can also be used to build experience toward achieving career goals.
FlexJobs recently listed 25 high paying, work-from-home side hustles, noting that side hustles with lower median pay can be easier to find when you have little or no work experience, as higher paying second jobs likely will require more credentials.

One side hustle on the list is account manager, a role which is often focused in spaces such as customer service, sales, and relationship-building, and comes with median pay of $43.57 per hour.
Other side gigs highlighted by FlexJobs include adjunct professor and bookkeeper. For an adjunct professor, responsibilities include planning lessons, delivering lectures, and assessing student performance, but a master’s or doctoral degree is usually required. The median pay is $38.87 per hour. As a bookkeeper, responsibilities include organizing and managing the financial records and transactions of an organization. This position has a median pay of $22.05 per hour.
