CareerTech students showcased their exceptional skills at the recent SkillsUSA National Competition, securing top positions in various categories. The competition, which draws talent from across the nation, saw CareerTech students demonstrating their expertise and earning accolades in several competitive fields.
In the Career Pathways – Industrial category, the team of Lakyn Eddy, Keith Russell, and Zethan Sleighter, all specializing in Welding, clinched the 8th position with their CAM Superline trailer project. Their project highlighted the practical applications of their welding skills in an industrial context.
Braden Lehman, representing the Land & Horticulture department, achieved 6th place in the Job Skills Demo Open category. His demonstration emphasized the diverse skill set required in horticulture and land management professions.
In the area of Graphic Communications, Abigail Moyer distinguished herself by securing the 5th position. Her entry in the Graphic Communications category showcased her proficiency and creativity, essential traits in this dynamic field.
The success of these students at the national level competition underscores the high quality of training and education provided by CareerTech. The team was accompanied by their dedicated SkillsUSA Advisors Caitlin O’Donnell, Mallory Waltman, and Dave Perry, whose guidance and support were instrumental in the students’ preparation and performance.
